Dance, Music and Madness in the ‘Queen of Hills’

Tucked away in the luscious hills, Mussoorie owning the stature of being the ‘Queen of Hills’ is about to host a Winter Carnival from December 25 to 31. This lively music festival will take place for the consecutive third time in Mussoorie. There will be dance, music and madness as great artists from Bollywood namely Kailash Kher, Mohit Chauhan and Basanti Devi Bisht are going to spellbind the audiences with their soul-stirring music.

In an interview Manmohan Singh Malla, Municipal President Council, Mussoorie said, “We want to give an authentic feel to this festival and have something special for the tourists to take back”.

This carnival will bring people from all walks of life together under the same roof through art, music and culture. The much beloved traditional artists will also perform at the carnival, which will bewitch the audiences and make them dance to the tunes of their folk songs. Not just this, but Hasya Kavi Sammelan (humorous poets meet), maddening rock band performances and a spectacular display of acrobats will also take place at Mall Road.

Sandeep Sawhney, Member Tourism Development Board, Uttarakhand said, “We want to promote Mussorie as a destination for all seasons. This time, we are also organising conferences in Delhi and Chandigarh to encourage more tourists to discover the magic of Mussoorie”.
